Discover the very special area where London started for history, architecture, churches and criminal courts

We will be starting at Monument which marks the Great Fire of London of 1666. Then on to The Walkie Talkie building so named for its shape before heading to Leadenhall Market, one of the great buildings of The City. We will dip in and out of little alleys before arriving at The Bank of England, The Royal Exchange and Mansion House. Next, along to St. Mary le Bow before heading to The Guildhall to see walls that date back 600 years and on to see Roman remains. Next we head to Smithfield the site of gruesome executions before seeing The Central Criminal court nick-named The Old Bailey. Finally we head to Paternoster Square and take a look at St. Paul's Cathedral.

As we walk along, I will share stories about the quirky traditions and customs of the area. We will spot signs and symbols that tell a tale and hear about famous people who have left their mark.

The will be plenty of time to stop for a drink or a snack en route.

This walk can be customised to make your own special experience.
