Walking tour in the city centre of Corfu
Together we will walk through the narrow streets which we call kantounia into the heart of the city. On our way we will have a chance to see the three different types of architecture: Venetian, French and British!
The city is protected by two Venetian fortresses, the old and the new. Other main monuments include the Town Hall, the Duomo, the 16th century Orthodox Church of Saint Spyridon - the protector of the Island - the Royal Palace of Saint George and St Michael and of course the famous Liston whose access in the past was only allowed to the aristocracy of Corfu! Visiting the old neighborhoods of the historical old corfu town, will give you a glimpse to being a local.
