Stuck at the airport waiting for your connecting flight - TOUR LONDON INSTEAD!
Stuck at the airport with monotonous hours to fill before your onward flight?
Yuck.
Or. . . . . Catch the Heathrow Express train directly into Paddington Station (or the Gatwick Express to Victoria) and let's head off for some London highlights sightseeing.
Provided that you have reasonable layover time between flights, why not discover London's highlights instead of being stuck in the airport. I'll need your flight arrival and onward departure times to realistically calculate the amount of time we have to spend touring.
This is a perfect use of boring airport down-time and be rest assured, I'll take your onward flight and check-in timings into account, and will make sure you are back at the airport in good time without stressing about your onward flight.
With that sorted, we can now head off into central London for some sight seeing, fun and a lovely London experience, including superb photo opportunities.
It will be like you visited London as part of your trip!
Itinerary
Meet: London's Paddington station - direct and frequent fast trains from Heathrow Airport, or the Gatwick Express (train) to Victoria station. Journey time about 30 mins.
Let me know if you have luggage that needs storing whilst you tour in London. This needs to be booked in advance.
We head into central London for your layover adventure.
Can use either public transport or London taxis to get about. I will advise on how to purchase tickets and other practicalities.
Depending on what time you have available we'll fit in what we can, and of course please feel free to give me your wish-list so that I'll be sure to include what you want to see.
Typically, we can cover such sights as Buckingham Palace, St James's Palace, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, the London Eye, Houses of Parliament with 'Big Ben', river Thames. . . . . .
We can stop for coffee or perhaps drop into a typical old London pub. . .
Tour ends as I wave you goodbye when you catch the Heathrow Express back to the airport
Meeting Point + Tour Duration
Meeting Point Options: Rail or Bus Station, Suggested by Guide: Meet at London's Paddington station. I will meet you when you arrive by train from Heathrow Airport via the Heathrow Express train.
Duration: 4 hours
Your tour starts when I meet you at Paddington (or Victoria) Station and ends when I return you to the station.
Tour price given here is for up to four hours, but if you require longer, I can quote for this too.
Transportation
We'll use the London Underground system to get from/return to Paddington (or Victoria) station.
Or can also take London taxis but their maximum number of passengers (including the guide) is 5.

20 GBP - Major credit cards are widely accepted but a little cash might come in useful. I realise that you might not want to change your money into sterling for such a short stay, and that's not a problem provided you have credit cards that work in the UK.
