Visiting the lovely town of Rye, then on to Battle and its beautiful Abbey and the site of the Battle of Hastings 1066.
We will leave nice an early to take in some of the beautiful English countryside,
Through Kent, known as the garden of England.
Stopping at the historical town of Rye, visit Mermaid street with its cobbled stones and see the 14th century Ypres tower that marked part of its defences.
This is one of my favorite medieval towns a couple of hours out of town.
Here we can have tea and cakes a great pit stop before we continue on to Battle the home of the Norman invasion 1066 and its 14th century Abbey.
We will drive the coastal path from Rye to Battle taking in views of the south coast.
