Azeitão is Known for its red wine, olives and creamy sheep cheese, the latter prized as one of the best in the country, it also features some of the finest quintas (villas or country estates) in the region.
Palmela is topped by a medieval castle with moorish foundations and the most amazing views.
Close by the Arrábida Natural Park is a very important reserve rich in mediterranean vegetation. From the top we can admire dazzling views over sandy beaches with crystal clear water.
Setúbal has a fishing port with local restaurants famous for fish dishes.
Itinerary
We visit the castle of Palmela, headquarters of the military and religious order of Saint James of the Sword.
Possibility to visit a wine cellar where the well known muscatel is stored and not to miss a tile factory where the tiles are still hand made and hand painted.
Panorama tour through the mountain range of Arrábida, protected park and stop in Setúbal, with local fish restaurants.
