Full day tour departing from Airlie Beach with snorkeling stops and shore excursions including a visit to an aboriginal cave

Take in the beauty of the Whitsundays islands central group on the way to Hook island, Our timetable is yours so we can stop for you whenever you like to either take some pictures, enjoy a snorkel or swim, go ashore for a walk to see some cave drawings in an aboriginal cave or visit the lookout at Langford island.

During the day you will hear about the history of the regions settlement by the traditional owners and arrival of the European settlers, as well as it's diverse Flora and Fauna and the impacts that are happening due to climate change. We usually see some turtles on this tour and during the Humpback Whale migration here between July and September, will almost always get to see these magnificent creatures.

Our tour can be easily modified or tailored to our guests requests and we are happy top take young children.

Itinerary

This tour departs from the Coral Sea Marina at Airlie Beach at around 9. 00 am, traveling across the Whitsunday passage to Hook island, stopping at a snorkel location such as False Nara or Hook passage, and then going up the Nara inlet to go ashore and see the cave. (Ask us about Neptune's Altar).

We will also visit the lookout at Langford island which offers picturesque views of Hayman, Black, and Hook islands and where you can walk along the long golden sandy beach as the tide goes out. Enjoy your delicious lunch on a quiet, deserted beach or onboard our vessel before getting up close with some large tropical fish including a whopping Maori Wrasse!

We will then continue on our way around the rest of Hook island and return to Airlie Beach around 4. 30 pm.

This tour is sometimes done in reverse to maximize the best locations for snorkeling and time ashore.

A Recent Review of this tour

Absolute 5 star experience from John in the Whitsundays. John's communication and planning from the start were outstanding, and important as it helped us to get the best of our time whilst on holiday. The experience itself was incredible---from cave paintings to best snorkel spots to private beach walks with just the family, do yourself a favor and consider John for a private charter. Super thoughtful as well about how to maximize the trip for both adults and children.
