United StatesWe thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Nikko with Eriko. She is a lovely, warm person and an excellent guide. There were 6 of us traveling together, and Eriko managed to accommodate all our interests and keep us together and on schedule. Our only concern was in not being warned of how difficult and confusing it is to purchase Shinkansen tickets. If it were possible for guides to purchase tickets in advance, that would be a significant improvement. Of course tour prices would need to be adjusted accordingly.
TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you for a helpful review! I can include the travelers’ train fares in my tour prices, but the number of travelers differs from group to group. Also, I have to add the commission to the tour price for some reasons. Travelers like reasonable tours, so I haven’t included their train fares in my tour prices. New ZealandThis was an amazing day out - Nikko is awesome. And Eriko is pretty awesome as well - she is so helpful with suggestions, and has a vast knowledge of the history and legends of this area. Her English communication is excellent, and I couldn't be happier with how things went. She made navigating Tokyo's transport system very easy, and even managed to find time to help me to shop for cold medication, in addition to the more usual tourist shopping sites. Highly recommended guide and tour.

United StatesEriko is an absolute sweet heart!!! My boys (8 and 9 years old) and I were with her for two days of our stay in Japan, and we just loved her. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and considerate. We could communicate well and she was really, really kind to us. She watched out for us always and I felt completely safe when I was with her.

United StatesEriko was very knowledgeable. She explained every details of the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE Toshogu Shrine. We enjoyed the Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji. She followed the schedule as stated. The best part about Eriko was she went beyond her duty. When our JR train was canceled, she assisted us and we did not have to worry about anything. She made us feel very comfortable. She was a great host. We highly recommend anyone to join Eriko's private tour.
