United StatesGordon was a knowledgeable and resourceful guide under challenging weather conditions. It is absolutely true you just need to wait a bit and Scottish weather will likely change. We were prepared for inclement weather but one of us injured a knee a few days earlier and so mobility was restricted. Gordon thoughtfully took all this into his planning so we saw this things we wanted to see and he added two suggested stops to Dunvegan Castle and the Staffin Dinosaur Museum. A most memorable day.

Great personality, always anticipated when we needed dinner reservations, made sure attractions were opened, incorporated some sights we didn't know about in our schedule, and was extremely organized. He gave us a lot of history and if he didn't know something he would research and get back with us the next day . He was always on time, even when we made him start our day at 7am. He gave us a custom tour of the places we asked to see, and they were all quite interesting. He even asked if we'd seen the Highland cows and took us to see them! In spite of the weather, we had a great day with stops at the Staffin dinosaur museum, Skye Museum of Island Life, tea at Uig Lodge, a whiskey tasting, quick stop for shopping, lunch at Sligachan brew pub, and fabulous views from the top of the Quiraing and more! I can highly recommend this tour.

We gave him our list of destinations & with his knowledge of Skye he was able to add several special "local only" spots along the way. He made sure we stopped to see the coos, stretched our legs to visit a rambling river, made sure we saw the fairy bridge, took us to a bakery/coffee shop that looked like a fairy village (delicious pastry), & when he found out we wanted scallops, he arranged for a table at a local seafood place!!!

United StatesMy husband & I (late 20s) did a custom tour with Gordon that included: Rogie Falls, Beauly Abbey, Loch Ness with Urquhart Castle, Culloden, and Clava Cairns. Gordon did a great job of providing so much information, history, and narration during the drive. He accompanied us to most of the activities but also gave us space to explore on our own, which we appreciated. He arranged us lunch at a local B&B that was delicious! This tour was the highlight of our trip in the British Isles, highly recommend!

United StatesAfter dialog via email with Gordon, we set up a focused tour: I wanted to see the four sites of former locations of the Cathedrals of Moray, and then to visit distilleries. Gordon met me at the train station at Elgin, we spent time at each site, plus 2 additional locations. Lunch at The Mash Tun was superb, and then we visited two distilleries before he dropped me at the depot for my ride back to Inverness. Interesting conversation, great exploring Speyside, loved having a driver who knew the land.

With his expertise and time management skills, I was able to visit 1 distillery with tour and tasting, 3 distilleries with tasting only and the Speyside Cooperage tour.
