Live streamed by me from Royal Roads using ZOOM -conferencing software
Vancouver Island is an amazing destination. In this LIVE VIRTUAL OUTDOOR TOUR I will take you to one of my most favourite places outside Victoria, BC. We will walk together through a forest of enormous trees and emerge to see a stunning early 20th century Gothic revival castle, and its gardens. Secret stories surround this castle that was built by coal baron James Dunsmuir. Today it is the grounds of the Royal Roads University. The fairy tale like setting is surrounded by forests and the castle looks out to a bird sanctuary lagoon and majestic snow capped mountains across the sea.
You will be transported into the most exquisite setting and time of a coal baron's dream home. Here many iconic movies were filmed. I will share some intriguing stories of the wealthiest family in British Columbia who lived at Hatley Castle.
