Follow me on this tour as we unfold the magnificence of Samos for you step by step, visiting the highlights and some of my favorite secret spots. It's a tour with a lot of things to see, learn and taste.
This is by far a favorite tour for those who are visiting Samos with me for the first time! I love my island. Born and raised here, I lived most of my life in these cobblestone alleys and mountain trails. My clients like it so much, they bring their friends the following years and do it all over again! I always try to add something and embellish it year after year and I believe it has been perfected. There is always more to see, more to learn, and more to experience since this is an island full of rich historical background with more than 3000 years of continuous history with the "golden" years of Polycrates and all of nature's wonders.
Itinerary
1. Pick up and meeting from the port or your hotel and go straight to one of the best viewpoints of the island for our tour briefing with a panoramic view of the Aegean Sea. [30']
2. Short drive around the capital of Samos to see the most important buildings and stop at the wine museum. The perfect place to learn about the history of the awarded Samos wines and taste the best of them. [1, 5 hour]
3. Walk throught the picturesque cobblestone streets of the coastal fisherman's village of Kokkari. [20']
4. Visit the very popular traditional mountain village of Manolates to meet with the locals, visit their workshops and learn about the sustainable lifestyle. [30']
5. Let's go to the less-touristic villages with the best cuisine in the island for lunch and to explore the culinary side of of samos [1 hour]
6. Return to the port or to your hotel [30']

Giorgos' love for his island, his knowledge of history, culture, earthquakes, geography, and his entusiasm in sharing it with visitors is wonderful. Such a personable young man willing to share his lived experience of the island through his eyes, and the eyes of his family over many generations. I could not recommend Giorgos and this Full Day Samos Tour more highly.
