Visit Portugal's Garden of Eden on a luxury tour
On the outskirts of Lisbon is Sintra, a destination you simply can't miss on your journey to Portugal. On this tour of Sintra and Cascais, you will first discover a small town filled with natural beauty, fairy tale palaces and many hidden secrets.
Sintra is one of Portugal's greatest treasures. Due to the stunning expressions of culture and architecture showcased in the town, the whole of Sintra was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1995.
On this full day narrated tour, I will give you a tour of Pena Palace, a romantic site which was home to the last generation of Portuguese royalty. We will also do a small tour of the town itself and get the chance to taste Portugal's culinary traditions by trying out the local pastries specific to Sintra.
After the morning we will head for a country drive along the coast line to Cabo da Roca, Europe's westernmost point, stopping by for lunch with unique flavours in Cascais and Estoril.
This is a fully private experience that allows for customization.
Itinerary
We will start the tour with pick up from: hotel, cruise ship terminal or the airport and proceed to
Sintra's town center.
The tour will then proceed to the following areas and sites of Sintra and Cascais:
- Pastelaria Piriquita
- Viewpoint of Sintra
- Pena Palace
- Seteais Palace
- Cabo da Roca
- Cascais
- Estoril
- Belém
After the tour, you will have the option to be dropped off at your hotel or any other predetermined location within Lisbon.
