It will cover 3 monuments and the old village. It will not include Cascais area or the coast.
The monuments suggested are Pena palace, palacio nacional of Sintra and the world of quinta da regaleira.
With Pena palace we will talk about the history of the XIX century in Portugal and in Europe covering a bit of everything. From civil war to invasions and revolutions plus a crazy Royal family.
Palacio nacional de Sintra is a blast from the past. A construction from the XIII century that was change untill the XIX century. Most use by the kings and queens of the XV and XVI century. So the topics and history os about the navigation time. Da Gama, King João II and Manuel I, the catholic kings of Spain, colombus and mutch more.
Quinta da regaleira is from the first years of XX century and is the work of Antonio Carvalho AKA mister millions! He has created the theme Park that is the dream of thoes who love to explore the exoteric and discover the mistery of life itself.
Itinerary
Pick up from Lisbon or any other área close. Lisbon, Sintra or Cascais area.
1° stop Pena palace with guided visit. Arround 1. 30 to 1. 45h visit time needed.
2°stop palacio nacional de Sintra guided also inside. Arround 1h time to visit.
3° old village of Sintra with free time for lunch and more.
4°stop quinta da regaleira visit will take 1. 30 to 2h time to visit.
The route from Lisboa to Sintra is 30 miles +/- plus some extra on the mountain. A total of 70 to 75 miles with car. Short distances.
